Undergound Cinema
Getting your movies seen is good, great, wonderful. It increases the likelihood that people will know about your movies and your moviemaking skills. Maybe you'll get hired to work on someone else's film...maybe you can leverage your short into a full length feature. You'll never know unless you promote your film and get it seen.
Underground Cinema is a monthly access program based in Dun Laoghaire. The program showcases on the big screen short films and interviews with filmmakers. Due to decreasing funds for the arts, this showcase is needed to support short filmmakers and keep this medium alive. Underground Cinema provides this need by showing these works to an audience who would normally not have access to such films.
If you would like your short to be considered, all we need is the following:
- A copy of your short on DVD. DVDs must be labeled with film title, filmmaker name, phone & email. Please place DVDs in a paper slip case/envelope/plastic hard case.
- Synopsis of your short (around 150 words)
- A disc with as much promtional material as possible, photo's, cast biographies etc.
Ocotbers program is now complete but we are now taking submissions for Novembers Underground Cinema night.
The program for Octobers night will be announced shortly. All submitting filmmakers will be notified at that time by the email provided at the time of submission.
